During the year 1981 when the Lord called me to serve the Body of Christ through a prophetic ministry, He gave me a number of visions.  I had recorded all such visions in a diary.  At that time, I could not understand many such visions. After a lapse of 25 years, this diary came into my possession. As I meditated on these visions, the Lord gave me wonderful prophetic messages - Job Anbalagan

Vision of a Pentecostal church

In my spirit I was flying towards a Pentecostal church (belonging to a pioneer Pentecostal church denomination in India) in my Home town in Kerala.  I opened the door of that church and went to the pulpit to preach. I was preaching about the new move of God nowadays and the need to move with God, leaving behind the traditions etc. One person sitting in the audience started arguing with me and I found it difficult to convince him and another person came on the scene.  The second person who seemed to be interested in my preaching with an open mind advised me not to argue with the first person as it was a vain argument without any fruit.  At that time, I saw a statue of a man talk something though its mouth.

Interpretation:

The Pentecostal churches which were once the torchbearers in the spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit have since become the citadels of traditions of men.  They do not move with the Holy Spirit and got stuck up in the traditions of men. One category of the people of God in these churches is moving ahead with the truth of the Word, while the other category of the people of God in these churches is not listening to the truth of the Word.  It is no use arguing with this latter category of people. The preachers speak through the doctrines of their churches handed over to them by their predecessors.  It is like a lifeless statue of a man that talks. The preachers give messages but the spiritual lives of the congregation do not grow.

Vision of a truck with workers on board

I saw a truck with some workers on board.  The road was in a hilly region with ups and downs, having a hair pin bend. The driver of the truck was driving the vehicle at a high speed as he was probably in a hurry.  The truck was coming down the hill. The truck, when it was about to face the hair pin bend, being in a hurry, was running at a high speed.  Since the driver wanted to avoid the hair pin bend, he drove the vehicle down over the edge of the road. With great providence, he brought the truck to the low-lying road from above. However, some damage was caused to the vehicle with the result that it started shaking on both its sides.  Then the driver lost his control over the vehicle.  It capsized and then came to a halt.  After the vehicle halted due to the break-down, some people arrived there to rescue the wounded people.  Alas! Some workers were killed in that accident and some seriously wounded.

Interpretation:

A ministry likened to the truck in the vision should not take any hasty decisions.  The leader of a team should not take unilateral and hasty decisions without involving his co-workers in the team. The servant of God concerned should not find any short-cut method i.e. avoiding the hair-pin bend on the road.  If he faces any opposition from one of his team members, he should listen to the latter and then take a decision prayerfully. The leader should not try to get rid of the hair pin bend. He should in no way try to remove the one who is opposed to him from the team at all. It should be a team work. He should have patience, forbearance and wisdom about the future events which would take place.  His decisions should be well thought of and prayerfully taken in a unanimous manner.  His decisions should be devoid of hastiness. Hastiness cost Moses the chance of entering the Promised Land.  Let us run our race with patience after taking into account the pros and cons of each decision and making use of the God-given wisdom.

Vision of the breakdown of a truck

I saw a truck stationed on the top of a hill had some defects in its engine.  The driver did his best to repair it. I then suddenly stepped into the driver’s seat.  I wondered as to how I could drive the vehicle as I did not know driving at that time. I noticed a bull attached to the vehicle. When I started driving the vehicle, I could no longer find the bull.  As I went on driving, the truck turned into a three wheeler vehicle.  I then found it easier to drive on the hill.  I drove the truck-cum-three wheeler through a very narrow path and brought it down the hill. Normally, a truck cannot be driven on such a narrow road.  After reaching the ground, I saw people following our vehicle and enquiring about Jesus Christ.

Interpretation:

The truck here is likened to a pastoral or an evangelistic ministry. Whenever the pastor or the evangelist concerned finds some problem with his ministry that affects the growth of his ministry, he should seek the ministry of a prophet. The bull was the cause for the truck not to function. The bull is compared to some doctrinal error that retards the growth of the ministry or some peculiar problem which needs a revelation from God.  The prophet helps the servant of God concerned in restoring his ministry to his original vision and calling.  The prophet by his ministry helps the servant of God concerned to take his ministry to greater heights. At the end, people were seen enquiring about Jesus Christ. This shows that lost souls will be gravitated to a ministry that is edified by the apostles and prophets in the Body of Christ.

Vision of worshipping God in an underground church

In an underground building, I was worshipping the Lord.  There I met a man of God, probably, a prophet of God. I asked him to find out from God whether God was fully pleased with me.  Then I saw him go inside the church to enquire from God.  He never turned up.  When I wanted to leave the place after waiting for him for some time, I heard the voice of God saying, “Job, look at this place!” drawing my attention to a certain spot on the wall of that underground building.  When I looked at that spot, I saw something trying to enter the building by making a hole.  I saw the head of a big snake come out of the hole.  I immediately ran out of the building.  Outside the underground church, a shop was situated.  The owner of the shop claimed herself to be a Christian.  But she was keeping some idols, pictures, candles, etc. in her shop.  On my inquiry with her about the snake, she told me that snake would not harm her.

Interpretation:

A local church should be grounded in the Word of God and should be visible to the world as an arm of God.  It should not be hidden from the view of the world.  It has to evangelize the world and win the lost souls. These days, we find that the churches are only the places of worship and are not actively involved in evangelism. People cannot see the churches which are underground. People cannot hear the gospel from the churches which are underground. A local church should not be underground except in nations where the churches are not allowed by the rulers to function openly.  A local church should not be below the ground level. It should be above the world. It has to be led by the Holy Spirit through the elders or deacons as a body ministry.

Secondly, under the New Covenant, a child of God should not approach “any prophet” to know the will of God.  We do not need any mediators between God and us. Under the Old Covenant, the people of Israel had to seek the ministry of prophets to know God’s will. But under the New Covenant, the people of God should pray to God and should search the Scriptures to know God’s will.  The New Testament prophets only confirm what the Lord has revealed to them. Under certain exceptional circumstances, God does reveal His will to us through the ministry of the New Testament prophets when we are confused.

In the underground church, the Devil deceives people through false prophecies and through false doctrines.  The Devil makes an inroad into these underground churches and does not allow the members of these churches to grow in their spiritual lives.  These people always remain as babes in Christ Jesus and subject themselves to the Levitical priesthood of the Old Covenant. These churches have become “business establishments”.  They covet “tithes” from their congregations in return for “God’s blessings”.  They sell the spiritual gifts for building their own kingdoms.  The idols, pictures, candles are part of these churches.  The church doctrines are their idols. The pictures are the personalities of these ministers of God. The candles are used in these churches because these churches experience black outs frequently in the absence of “prophetic words”.  The candles are the tools of the Holy Spirit. The grace of God is still with these churches. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are the tools of the Holy Spirit in these churches. The candles help these churches to perceive the Word of God. Though these churches have idols and pictures, the candles help the ministers of God to minister to their congregations. The people in these churches still experience the power of God through the gifts of the Holy Spirit.  

The Devil does not bother much about these churches.  The woman in the dream told that she was not harmed by the snake. These churches so long as they follow the Levitical priesthood do not pose a challenge to the authority and power of Satan, the old serpent. If these churches are led of the Spirit and are actively involved in evangelism and revival, then the Devil would try to attack them.

Vision of tea bushes planted in the midst of banana trees

I saw a number of tea bushes. One or two banana trees were among these tea bushes.  These banana trees were not grown up to their full stature as their growth was retarded.

Interpretation:

Normally, banana saplings are not planted along with the tea samplings because the atmosphere and soil conducive to the growth of tea bushes are entirely different from that of banana saplings.  We cannot plant banana saplings in an area meant for the plantation of tea garden. Likewise, we cannot combine one ministry with another ministry.  In a body, there are different organs performing different functions.  The hand cannot perform the function of the leg. Similarly, one particular ministry appointed by
God with a certain purpose cannot perform the function of another ministry appointed with a different purpose. These two ministries are independent but may be interdependent. A tea bush and a banana tress can be interdependent in so far as water (Holy Spirit), light (fellowship with God and saints) and manure or food (prophetic word of God) are concerned.  In other words, a tea bush and a banana tree can be watered together, and can receive the same sunlight (fellowship with God and saints) and the same manure (Word of God). Even then, the banana tree cannot grow properly mostly due to the soil and the climate factors.  For instance, we should not combine the functions of both an evangelistic ministry and a prophetic ministry.

Vision of communal violence and its aftermath

At a place in Delhi, I saw two religious militant groups war with each other through their deadly weapons.  A number of persons were killed on both the sides.  At that time, I saw myself travel in our gospel outreach van together with my wife and other members of our church whom I do not remember. None of us could approach the warring factions to separate them and to proclaim peace in that place.  As I went ahead I saw the members of our church distribute some pamphlets/notices there.  When I eagerly looked at these pamphlets to find out whether these were gospel tracts, to my great surprise, these were merely some commercial notices with which we were not concerned at all.

Interpretation:

The local churches have a major role to play when civil wars or communal violence erupt. They have to reach out the victims with the love of Christ, and to proclaim peace of God there. They should be not mere spectators like others.  These days, the churches are not engaged in active evangelism like distribution of gospel tracts, etc. They are interested in promoting or advertising their own churches just with a view to attracting the Christian believers from other churches.

Vision of a building on fire

I entered a building which had become dark due to the failure of electricity. Some electrician was attending on the main switch board to rectify the defects, if any. But, he was unable to make any breakthrough despite his best efforts.  When he was on the job, all of a sudden, fire broke out in that building due to a short circuit. The fire immediately spread out all over the building and the electrician lost his control over the situation.  People were running here and there to extinguish the fire with water but could not do anything at all.  I saw the entire building in flames at a distance.  On seeing this, I immediately commanded the fire to be extinguished in the Name of Jesus Christ.  The fire then disappeared.

Afterwards, I saw a very big oil tanker near this building.  There was leakage of oil from the tanker and the tanker was catching fire.  When I commanded in Jesus’ Name, the fire on the tanker was put out. I saw the tank displaced from its original position. When I commanded the tank in Jesus’ Name to set in its original position, it did so.

Afterwards I entered the building which was in darkness.  There I caught hold of a boy and started questioning that boy in connection with the fire accident.  I started rebuking him, “You are the Devil causing all these troubles”.  Then I noticed two small horns on his head which fact indicated beyond doubt that he was the Devil.  I warned him for having caused all these troubles and told him, “Since your days are very short, you are indulging in all these acts.  Lord Jesus will bind you in hell when He comes again”. When I loosed my grip over him to let him go away, he ran out of the building.

Interpretation:

The big building is symbolical of a very big evangelistic or pastoral ministry.  The power failure is symbolical of the cessation of the work of the Holy Spirit in that ministry due to false doctrines. The electrician is symbolical of the leader of this ministry.  When he failed to identify the cause for the power failure, and to restore power to his ministry, a prophet is sent by God to that ministry. The prophet glorifies the Name of Jesus Christ and brings the work of destruction to a halt.

The leakage of oil from the tanker is symbolical of the leakage of power of God from that ministry.  A ministry ordained of God loses the power of God once it starts glorifying the individual name of the minister concerned.  The oil tank of the tanker is symbolical of the intercessory ministry that is available to this ministry through the tears of its intercessors.  This tank has to be fitted in its proper place. The ministry of intercessors has to be in accordance with the Word of God.  Prayer warriors of a particular minister of God should be Christ-minded. They should have a burden for the lost souls and for the other ministers of God in the same Body of Christ. They should not be so selfish so as to pray only for that particular minister. The prophet comes there and glorifies the Name of Christ and His Body.  Through the prophetic ministry, the ministry concerned is restored to its original calling and vision.

The root-cause of all these problems is the Devil whom the prophet identifies in this dream. The Devil injects false doctrines into the ministries of God and causes the power of God to cease in these ministries.  The prophet rightly said that it was only Jesus who would bind the Devil in hell when He comes.  These days, many servants of God pray, “I bind the Devil in hell”.  Their prayers are not scriptural. They can merely cast out of the Devil from the bodies of victims and from the strongholds of the House of God in the Name of Jesus Christ. They have no power to bind the Devil in the hell.

Vision of scientists at work in a tower

I was assigned a particular job by some scientists doing research in a laboratory situated in a high tower.  I was given to understand that these scientists were Godly saints. The job assigned to me was that I should pick some particular instrument by entering a secret place surreptitiously and should deliver the same to these scientists.

I entered the secret place and was searching for that particular instrument.  Ultimately, I spotted out that instrument hidden in the earth.  I was given to understand that the said instrument consisted of an “important part” i.e. a mouthpiece. I was able to locate the instrument only after hearing some high pitched voice from the place in which the instrument was hidden. Then I immediately plucked the mouthpiece and fled that secret place. Thereafter I reached the high tower and handed over the same to the scientists.  After delivering it to them, I was in the grip of fear thinking that the “enemy” could take revenge upon me.  I heard the voice of the Lord comforting me and casting out all my fears about the enemy.  The Lord assured me that the enemy’s servants would not lay their hands on me even when I would pass by their side. At that time I was made to understand that the enemy had sent out his servants in search of me. When I was on the way to my place, I saw a black-complexioned man roam about here and there. Though he passed by my side, he could not recognize me as assured by the Lord.  At last, I reached a place which was inaccessible to the enemy and his servants.

Interpretation:

Scientists are symbolical of the servants of God who present the right doctrines to the Body of Christ after gathering them like honeybees from different flowers. These servants of God have reached higher spiritual experiences in the Body of Christ. They are Christ-minded and have a vision for the universal Body of Christ.  The prophets are required to help these servants of God by getting the right interpretations of the hidden treasures in the Word of God. The prophets have to go in search of “mouthpieces of these instruments” which are hidden in the Word of God.  They have to pay a heavy price for reaching out these mouthpieces. These mouthpieces speak the mysteries of Christ and His Church as revealed from the Bible. The prophets face peculiar experiences in their lives to get at these mouthpieces.  They hear “high pitched voice” – confirmations in the Body of Christ about such revelations. They do not give their own revelations. It is a high pitched voice through the other apostles and prophets in the Body of Christ.

When the prophets face afflictions in their lives, the Lord does comfort them. The black complexioned man is likened to Satan. The Devil attacks them through the same people whom they serve. The Devil makes use of the other Christian believers to attack the ministry of a prophet. The Devil employs his servants i.e. antichrists and false prophets to hound these prophets. But the Lord saves them because they are secure under His wings.  The prophets after giving the mouthpieces i.e. revelations from the Word to the elders in the Body of Christ are protected by the Lord as they are inaccessible to the Devil and his servants.

Vision of a baby being chased by an elephant

I was carrying a baby with pimples on his face in my hands to a place of safety as I was afraid of some elephant.  At that time, I did not see any elephant but had only a knowledge that the elephant was after me and the child.  First I entered a house of one room apartment on a road side which I did not consider to be safe as there was no way out in case the elephant started breaking the house. Moreover, it was close to the main road.  Then I located another house consisting of several rooms and some people were also there.  I occupied the innermost room for the safety of the child.  Then I came out of the house after leaving the child in the house itself.  I saw an elephant which was taller than the buildings situated there.  Then I went in search of the police for getting the elephant bound with chains. I was frantically looking for the police but could not find them. At that time I saw my elder brother coming to me.

Interpretation:

The baby with pimples is symbolical of the “prophetic child” in the body of Christ. This child is with all its imperfections because the other members in the Body of Christ do not take care of this child with the result that this child has developed “pimples” on his face. In the Body of Christ, there are many children either with the prophetic gift or with the prophetic calling.  They are not allowed to grow but are suppressed by the pastors and evangelists. However, there are elderly prophets in the Body of Christ who take care of this prophetic child. The elephant is symbolical of a particular powerful spirit of rebellion sent by the Devil to suppress this prophetic child in the Body of Christ.  The pastors and evangelists and those servants of God who proclaim that there are no apostles and prophets today are being used by the Devil to suppress this child.

The elderly prophets are eager to protect the prophetic child. They take this child to the innermost place in the Body of Christ i.e. the secret place under the shadow of the Almighty.  They do not expose this prophetic child in the one room apartment which is not secure. They train and equip this prophetic child in the secret place of the Most High.

In this dream, the prophet goes in search of the police. The police are typical of a deliverance ministry in the Body of Christ. The deliverance ministry is meant for delivering the people from the evil spirits and diseases. The deliverance ministry cannot bind the elephant in chains. Only “the elder brother” i.e. apostles who are appointed by God in the first place in the Body of Christ can bind this elephant in chains.  The apostles with their apostolic authority bind this powerful spirit of rebellion.

Vision of a cobra turning into a religious woman

I was surrounded by some burning trains on all sides.  With a great difficulty, I had a narrow escape and had left that place, unhurt.  Then I entered a cave and saw a cobra.  This cobra suddenly turned into a religious woman. She started showing affection and love towards me. Then she prophesied about me saying that the Lord would give me a powerful ministry in my own nation. Then I also started prophesying about her saying that after she “has suffered a while”, the God of all grace would make her prefect, stablish, strengthen, and settle her (I Pet.5:10).

Interpretation:

Burning trains are symbolical of ministries/churches which are judged by God.  The remnant had a narrow escape from such ministries because they heard the truth of the Word and wanted to leave these old structures which were not moving with the Holy Spirit. Having escaped these ministries, the remnant reaches a “cave”.  A cave is symbolical of a place where the remnant is shut off from the influence of these old structures. Here, they learn the truth as taught by the Holy Spirit. But, the Devil comes to the cave to deceive them. The Devil sends a deceiving spirit of prophecy to them.  The remnant gets deceived by this false spirit of prophecy.  Once the remnant comes under the powerful influence of this false spirit of prophecy, the former starts prophesying in flesh, even quoting the Scriptures. This is a great deception in the churches of God today.
